Maths is universal and provides the best language learning opportunities for all children, regardless of linguistic, cultural or learning differences.

Subitising. What on earth is that?
Essentially, it is the ability to recognise immediately (from the Latin 'subito' meaning straight away) the number of objects in a group.
We do this every day at Nursery during registration by looking at how many children are absent and we've been developing our skills further at every opportunity.
