Our Vision
Our school philosophy is to continue and extend the education that you have started at home. We are proud to be part of the local community and work closely with families to help our children to develop both academically and socially within a happy and supportive environment.
At Bowerdean Nursery we believe that through play children can practise skills and come to understand and make sense of the world around them. We believe that it is important for children to be active in their own learning.
We aim to develop the right characteristics to support children to be independent learners and problem solvers. We encourage children to ‘have a go’ and ‘keep trying’ these are lifelong learning attitudes which will support their future success.
We are committed to the practice and principles as stated in the articles laid down by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child and these underpin the School’s values and ethos.
"To persevere & keep trying, to be proud of your achievements"
"Every child that comes to Bowerdean & Mapledean Nursery School is celebrated"
"The purpose of education is to develop every child’s personality, talents and mental and physical abilities."
